Maiden Voyage Jewelry is seeking a bench jeweler with a minimum of 1 year experience at a production bench.

The right candidate will understand proper soldering, simple fabrication, finishing/polishing techniques, and be proficient with the handling of a flex shaft/micro motor. 

Engraving and stone setting knowledge (pavé, channel, flush, star, bright cut, etc) is preferred but we are open to training a candidate that shows potential and has other valuable skills. However, candidates that have completed formal stone setting and engraving courses (GRS, New Approach, Etc) and have used a pneumatic engraving system will be prioritized.

Candidates will be considered based on their skills, desire to learn, attention to detail, and overall dedication to the work. We are not looking for a transient employee, we are looking for a person who has a desire to use and develop their skills over time and grow with us, as an integral part of the company.

This position is not a design role specifically, however, there is room for creativity and collaboration.

This is a very small business, at the time of your hiring it will be only you, and me! That means that both of us will sometimes be handling tasks that are not jewelry-making. Your main role is a bench jeweler, but you'll be expected to be flexible with other tasks that need completing. Your role will also include, but not be limited to:

Studio tidying + maintenance

Packing and shipping orders

Ordering materials

-Salary is based on experience and skill level/ amount of training and mentoring required.

-For candidates that are relocating to Santa Fe, we can provide housing for a limited time while you find permanent residency.
