Friends,
Please join me this weekend for a daytime shopping opportunity at my favorite gallery in Berkeley! As usual I will have a limited amount of pieces, mostly one-off, some one of a kind, ranging from wedding bands to inlaid switchblades to diamond rings, fitted bands and much more! Find my work amongst an array of some of the best handmade, fine, fashion, and art jewelry curated by April Higashi; as well as the phenomenal work of my friend and fellow engraver Chris Neff! Please email info@shibumigallery.com to set up an appointment with Chris or myself to discuss your custom project.

SHIBUMI GALLERY is pleased to announce Scribe, a show featuring hand-engraved work by Maiden Voyage/Megan Rugani and Chris Neff.
In this Valentine's Day show we are showcasing the ancient tradition of hand engraving that is quickly becoming a dying art. Hand engraving is a highly specialized craft that few jewelers today have the training, experience and unique skill set to master. Megan and Chris’ use of both abstract and literal symbols make these pieces incredibly special and personal to the wearer.
Megan Rugani will feature many of her own designs from her latest collection. Her edgy style crosses over with her admiration of the tattoo world. She is also open to working with clients to create custom engravings.
Chris Neff is a self-taught hand engraver and will feature his Hobo nickels; small-denomination coins he has modified with engravings. He will also be showing his engraved jewelry and can be commissioned for custom lettering or monogramming pieces.
Shibumi Gallery is offering our clients the unique opportunity to meet with these artists, see their work or have something personal designed for yourself or a loved one.
CHRIS NEFF grew up in the rolling hills of the mid-west. While employed at the local Quickie Mart following high school, his best friend's father stopped in and asked him what he really wanted to do. Chris responded that he wanted to be a jeweler. He soon found himself with a loan and on a plane to Revere Academy in San Francisco where he trained as a fine jeweler. He's worked as a goldsmith ever since.
Chris runs his shop in San Francisco where he not only makes his own work, but is also sought out by other jewelers for his stone setting, engraving and fabrication skills. When Chris is not working long hours at his studio you can find him tending to his plants or with his best feline friend, Evie, also known as Squirt to her friends.
